You're invited to join us for an inspiring weekend from April 5th to 7th. In collaboration with SU Hillel and supported by the Jewish Federation of Central New York Philip L. Holstein Community Program Fund and the Leonard and Irwin Kamp Foundation, we are excited to welcome our Scholar-In-Residence, Sarah Hurwitz. Sarah's career has transitioned from political speechwriting for notable figures, through a profound exploration of Judaism, to becoming an acclaimed author. She shares her insights on why Judaism is significant and how its timeless wisdom can profoundly transform individuals across all ages and backgrounds

Please note this is only open to SU Hillel, Epstein 11th and 12th graders, Epstein parents, Epstein faculty, and ALC members.

Shabbat services followed by an interview with Sarah Hurwitz and ending with Shabbat dinner. SU Hillel will interview Sarah, focusing on her personal rediscovery of Judaism. The discussion will explore her timely insights relevant to older teens and young adults, addressing the challenges and issues they currently face.

Sarah will deliver the D’var Torah at Shabbat services, followed by a Lunch and Learn where she’ll lead a discussion on her book, Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life — In Judaism (After Finally Choosing to Look There), and how ancient Jewish wisdom and practices can support our search for meaning, connection, and solutions to modern-world issues.
