This talk addresses common assumptions about intermarriage and shows how narratives formed over time.

Using a contemporary gender historian’s lens, Dr. McGinity debunks myths and offers a path that includes interfaith couples and families. Sources include her books, Brandeis Cohen Center research, Pew’s Jewish Americans in 2020, and Beyond the Count from the Jews of Color Initiative.
